St. John's Vincentian Conference operates a food pantry and provides financial assistance to residents within St. John's parish boundaries. Needy clients can visit the pantry weekly to obtain frozen meat, canned and packaged foods, toiletries and laundry supplies. Financial assistance is provided for rents, mortgages and utilities. A car donation program is also available. Parishioner's donations food drives provide the food and money to serve our clients. Volunteers take week long assignments to main the SVDP message line and make appointments for pantry visits and financial assistance. Thanksgiving and Christmas full dinners, Christmas gifts and winter coats are provided to selected clients. For further information concerning donations and volunteering, call the Vincent DePaul hotline at 630-668-0918 and leave a message. Your call will be promptly returned by the Vincentian on duty.
