Baptism

The Sacrament of Baptism

Baptism is the welcoming of a new member into the Body of Christ, the church, and empowers this person to share in the mission of the church.  We receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and all sins are forgiven.

Registered members of our parish seeking Baptism for their child are asked to attend a Baptism Preparation meeting whereby the team will walk the family through the joys, actions, rites and requirements of this sacrament.

Baptism is offered monthly in English during the 11:30 Mass or in Spanish during the 1:30 Mass.  Please see contact the parish office at 630.668.0918 ext. 600 for Baptism Preparation meeting times and information.

If a child is over the age of 7, a two year preparation for Baptism is required.  Parents should contact Maureen Brennan, our Director of Religious Education at 630.668.0918 ext. 613 to set a time to meet and plan for Baptism.
