The Sacrament of 1stEucharist (Holy Communion)
Eucharist is the sacrament where God, through the actions of the priest, changes the bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ. Holy Communion is offered at all daily and weekend masses.
- Communion for Sick and Shut-ins: Please contact the parish office. We committed to minister to those unable to attend mass.
First Eucharist is normally celebrated in the spring of 2nd grade. As in Reconciliation, we offer a minimum of a 2 year preparation program, whereby parents are the primary educators, and the school/church supplies the necessary materials and activities.
Please submit Baptismal certificate at registration.
The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (R.C.I.A) program is offered for adults who have never been baptized or are baptized in another Christian denomination and are interested in becoming Catholic. A process of updating and formation is also offered for Catholic adults who have not received First Eucharist and/or Confirmation and would like to prepare for these sacraments. The program usually begins in early fall and culminates with the reception of the sacraments at the Easter Vigil on Holy Saturday.
